ColleenSHARPLESIt is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Colleen Sharples (formerly known as Colleen Ratcliff), who died peacefully on 26 November 2025, aged 87. Born on 11 November 1938, Colleen was a beloved Wife, Mother, Grandmother and Great-Grandmother, whose life was defined by love, kindness and devotion to family. Colleen was the cherished Wife of Roy Sharples, with whom she shared a lifetime of treasured memories. She was a devoted Mother to Anthony and Sarah and a proud Grandmother to Kristian, Charlotte and Olivia. Her joy extended to her Great-Grandchildren: Siena, Sebastian, Emelia, Luca and Remi, who brought immense happiness in her later years. Colleen's warmth and generosity embraced not only her immediate family but also her extended family through Roy, who held a special place in her heart. This includes Vivienne and Bill, Denise and David, and Grandchildren Lois, Romina and Luke, along with Great-Grandchildren Jake, Eva, Esther, Coen and Miles. She welcomed them all as her own, creating bonds that will endure for generations. Colleen will be remembered for her strength, humour and the countless ways she enriched the lives of those around her. Her legacy is one of love, resilience and family. A service to celebrate Colleen's life will be held on the 15th January 2025 at Stockport Crematorium, Rowan Chapel at 12:15pm. followed by the burial in Mill Lane Cemetery, Cheadle. Family and friends are invited to join in honouring her memory. In lieu of flowers, all donations gratefully received in Colleen's memory to The British Heart Foundation. May she rest in eternal peace.
